Field Trip 3: Kelly, Tom & Kyle

"'Today sucks'" Kelly thought. "Stupid mudslide then this creepy Mr. Dobs was making balloon animals". 

"What would you like young lady?" he was talking to her now. She really didn't want one, something told her not to take one but she ignored it, after all it's just a balloon.

"How about a cow?" She really didn't like animals much but he might not be able to make one. "And it has to have utters!" Dobs paused for a second *shrugged then held up his hand.

"One second" he asked while reaching into his bag. He pulled out another bag of balloons. "Need a pink one for the utter!" he smiled. 

As she watched him hopes for the $100 vanished, he clearly made the bet knowing he wouldn't lose. She took the cow balloon from him and sat down next to her boyfriend Tom. 

"And what would you like good sir?" Dobs was now pointing at Tom. 

"Get a cow like me!" Kelly loved it when they matched any thing.

"I just made a cow" Dobs protested.

"Make a baby cow then" Tom said. What's the big deal? If it made Kelly happy he would do most any thing. Sure enough he received an exact copy of Kelly's cow only smaller.

"Is it my turn?" Kyle asked. 

"Sure it is! What do you want?" 

"A Bull!" If Kelly had a cow it only made since to have a bull. Kyle thought Kelly was the most beautiful girl in the world… 

"What the fuck is your problem Kyle!?" Tom was pissed who the hell did he think he was getting a bull. "You pick something else! Now!" but it was too late Dobs handed Kyle the bull. "You piece of shit!" 

"Oh calm down Tom" Kelly whispered in his ear. "I'm all yours" she kissed him on the cheek.

After a while everyone got to settling down for the night. Kelly woke up to the sound of barking. She yawned and sat up in her chair. She looked at her phone it was 5:20. "'What is a dog doing barking that early?'" She looked around, it was still dark but the rays of the morning sun had just started to creep over the horizon. She got up and went over to Tom. He was awake too. "Morning sweetie"

"Hey sugar." He yawned. "What's up?"

"Nothing…" She got into his chair with him. He put his arm around her and they both fell back to sleep.

Kyle was sitting in his chair watching them. "'It's not fair!'" He had had a crush on her since the moment he laid eyes on her so long ago. He even turned down 6 different universities just so he could stay near her. He never had the courage to tell her how he felt other then secret admirer notes, but somehow he thought she knew, she knew and had no interest in him. He couldn't bear to watch her curled up in his arms any more. He turned in the chair to face the other way as a tear rolled down his cheek. 

He woke up sometime later. He could tell because of the sun glaring threw the window at him like an angry god. It pierced his eyelids and stirred him form his sleep. He looked around everyone was gone! "'they left me? No…'" he grabbed his pack and ran out the door. 

"What's the rush?" that was Amber. She was a girly girl but a real hard core feminist. It made no sense to him.

"I thought everyone had left me" He wouldn't think like that if it hadn't happened to him before.

"As much as I know we'd all like to, the road is still closed." Jeremy was an asshole, come to think of it pretty much everyone minus George and Kelly were assholes. 

Kyle sighed. "Well where is everyone then?" he was still looking around at least Miss Shepard pretended to like him.

"Well apparently Tina and Rob went out into the woods early this morning. No one knows where George or Miss Shepard is and Kelly and Tom just took off for a hike. Mr. Dobs is by his truck playing with a cat his dog found." Amber looked annoyed. He didn't want to get her started on a rant like she pulled last night but he couldn't help but ask.

"Which way did Tom and Kelly go?"

"Oh like I'd tell you, she doesn't like you and one of these days Tom is gonna..."

"They went that way" Jeremy pointed towards one of the paths. Amber scolded him. "What? If we tell him he will go away." He said bluntly. Amber waved her hand in agreement.

He didn't care no one liked him he didn't expect them to. He hurried down the trail. 

Kelly and Tom headed down the trail. He had told her he found something yesterday that he wanted to show her since they had the time. "Were almost there" Tom increased his pace.

Tom didn't think much of it at the time but later he thought of what a good spot it was to get Kelly out of her clothes. He remembered it was just around the curve here. "There it is!" he was getting excited. He knew this would work. 

She took in a quick breath, caught up in the serene beauty of what lay before her. It was a meadow with a grass floor and a small pond surrounded by trees on all sides roughly 20 feet from the trail but other wise completely hidden away form the rest of the world. 

'She totally loves it. I'm so in!' Tom was smiling from ear to ear. 'I'm getting laid!' He led her down to the middle to a nice patch of grass. He offered to take her pack with an open arm. She gave it to him and ran ahead trying to take it all in. He slowly picked his way through to where she finally stopped. 

"It's so pretty! Why didn't you show me this yesterday?"

"Hehe I found it when I took a piss break from our hike, didn't think we had time to enjoy so I thought i'd save it" He tossed his pack to the ground then tossed hers. *POP* the cow balloon must have hit something sharp.

"What did you do!?! Awe my cow!" Tears started to build up in her eyes. "Why did you pop it?" She pushed him a little.

'Shit no don't cry you will kill the mood' he thought. "Here baby you can have mine" He handed his cow to her. She snatched it then pulled it until it popped too.

"I want my cow!!! Not your stupid dwarf cow!" Kelly yelled at him.

Kyle heard crying so he headed in that direction. "'I'll kick his ass if he hurt her, or get my ass kicked trying…'" When he could see them he saw Kelly pop the little cow, hers already popped lying on the grass. 

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Tom I don't know what came over me!" He was stunned he'd never seen her so angry. 

"It's ok" He just wanted to hug her. She was ahead of him as she tackled him in a bear hug. They ended up sitting together fondling each other. "You want to?" She nodded.
