Chapter 3
"Dahlia!" A familiar voice screamed.
It came from Margaret, Malcom's wife and co-owner of The Red Lion. She stormed to our table and wrapped me up in an inescapable hug.
"It feels like ages since you were here last!" She rested her head on mine and pulled me into her large breasts. Margaret was a person who held her heart on her sleeve, it was almost impossible for her to hide any emotions and she firmly believed all problems could be fixed with her hugs. I looked across the table to Robyn, who had the world's largest smile I had ever seen on her face. After a few seconds, the older lady finally let go of me and walked over to Robyn.
"And who is this little cutie?" she asked, giggling to herself.
Before I got the chance to introduce them, Robyn held out her arms, like a toddler wanting to be picked up, the smile never leaving her face. Margaret, the most caring lady I know, automatically gave her a hug, completely covering the small girl in her arms.
I couldn't help but giggle at the situation. "Margaret, this is Robyn. Robyn, this is Margaret, owner of this pub."
Margaret closed her eyes as the hug went from an exciting, happy one to more calming and relaxing. Margaret's face was covered in thin wrinkles, mostly around the eyes and laugh lines around her mouth. Despite this, she remained young at heart.
"That's enough" she sighed, "If I don't stop hugging you now, I'll be holding you all night."
Robyn fell back onto her chair, she shifted herself so she was more comfortable, still grinning ear to ear but obviously saddened by the stop to their embrace. Knowing Margaret's cuddles, that was probably the warmest hug Robyn had ever received. The owner of the establishment soon found her way back to my side of the table, her hand gently gripped my shoulder, the silk-like material of her shirt brushed against my bare shoulder, sending a shiver down my spine.
"Make sure you take care of this one," she smiled, "Have you decided on what you wanted? Whatever you order is on the house!"
"No," I politely declined.
"Well, fifty percent off!"
"No," I declined again, "We are paying the full amount and even giving you a tip!"
Margaret's gaze went from my direction to the young woman sitting opposite me. She shrugged her shoulders as she looked at Robyn.
"What can I do?" she sighed, she brushed her hand across my shoulder once more before we continued looking at our menus. At this time me and Robyn had decided on what to eat, but the thought of dessert had only just come to mind.
"She's nice," Robyn stated, looking around the room.
"Yeah, she's lovely and so is Malcolm." I read the dessert options off the menu. "They helped me out alot when my grandmother died… What do you think about a dessert afterwards?"
Robyn showed me the directions to the property she was staying in, it was only a short drive away from the pub. She lived in a newly built area, where the entire road was apartments with no outdoor spaces, apart from the nearby public park, a few of the places had a balcony.
"I'm right here," the young woman pointed through her window towards an entrance.
I slowly maneuvered my car to stop right at the front, so it was the shortest walk for her to take. The car groaned to a stop, I put the brake on and quietly killed the engine as Robyn just looked up at what I presumed to be the window to her property. With the engine off we were left with the silence of the night.
"On your left is the house of Robyn Freeman," I tried to break the silence, "also known as the cutest girl on the entire planet… Please, no flash photography."
She smiled for a moment but it quickly left. She kept glancing upwards and then straight ahead, something was clearly on her mind.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
She took a long breath, "My roommate is going to kill me, she won't be pleased that I didn't get the job… she really has been on my case about it."
"I'm sure it will be fine," I placed my hand on her shoulder to give her support, she looked back at me with those large, puppy dog eyes; it made my heart melt every time, "Who can say no to those eyes?"
She smiled again but just like last time, it faded quickly.
"So…" I tried to keep the conversation going, "Where would you like to go for our next date?"
It was as if a switch was pushed somewhere deep inside her, Robyn's eyes widened and a large, goofy smile had risen on her face, she was almost vibrating in her seat.
"You really enjoy being with me?" she asked.
"Of course I do, kid. You are very pleasant to be around."
"I'm not annoying, or stubborn or act like a kid too much?"
"Just enough," I whispered.
"Yay!" she did a sort of awkward dance where she sat. It would be too embarrassing to detail all of the moves she did but afterwards, she collapsed onto my shoulder, her breathing steadied quickly, "Can we stay like this for a bit…? Please?"
"Sure" I replied, placing my arm around her shoulder so she rested on my chest, "Just don't fall asleep on me."
"I won't, I promise."
…She did.
I opened my eyes to the morning rays coming through the windows. Surprisingly, I wasn't in my bedroom, but was lying on the sofa in my living room. All the clothes I wore last night were on the floor, making a path from the front door to where I currently resided, leaving me only in my underwear.
I got up, removing fragments of sleep out of my eyes, my body ached to life as I slowly got going. The book, 'Moby Dick' was laying half open on the floor. It was a book I tried to read again and again but would always fall asleep a few pages in.
Picking the book up and placing it on the table, I chuckled to myself as I remembered how easy it was for Robyn to fall asleep, just like she had done twice on me only yesterday. Once on the bus in the morning and the second being after the date.
She didn't seem too happy to be woken up and told to go to her apartment, I hope her roommate wasn't too mean to her.
I made myself a mug of coffee and once again fell back down onto the sofa. The bitter taste of the beverage woke all my senses up, making me prepared for whatever I desired for the day.
The knowledge that I had a whole weekend with no plans was an amazing feeling.
I got the last drops from my coffee mug inside me before my phone buzzed to life on the table in front of me, the short vibration causing the entire table to shake.
I picked the mobile up and a swarm of butterflies entered my stomach as Robyn's name popped up on the screen. She had sent me a message.
Help
Was it all it said.
Not even half an hour had passed before I found myself once again in front of the door that Robyn disappeared into last night. I had put on what clothes I could find before jumping into my car and speeding away from my house, so I had on many clashing colours, but I didn't care; Robyn needed my help.
I pressed the buzzer on the outside of the building and within seconds a disinterested person answered on the other end.
"Hello?" a female voice crackled on the other end.
"Hi, I'm here to see Robyn," I said into the speaker. I could hear the agitation in my voice.
"Who is this?" she questioned after a short pause.
"It's Dahlia… I'm a friend of Robyn's."
"…oh, the date"
The door beeped, signalling for me to open it. Once through I nearly sprinted up the stairs, until I was met with a young woman. She held the door open to the apartment. She was probably a few inches taller than Robyn with auburn hair. She wore a short shirt with black leggings, showing off her thin stomach.
"Wow," her expression momentarily lit up, "you are a lot taller than I thought you would be."
"Is Robyn okay?" I quizzed the girl as I entered through the door.
"Yeah. Robyn is in her room, packing," the girl stated, she then sat on a chair with her feet up and began reading a magazine.
"What happened?"
"I'm exhausted with this," She nearly slammed her magazine on the floor, "I was asked to look after Robyn by our mutual friend, Roberta. She doesn't cook, she doesn't clean, or do any of the other chores. She doesn't even contribute to the bills. All I asked from her was to contribute something to the rent, which she did… for a while… I think she cleaned an old lady's apartment or something, but that stopped when she moved into a retirement home. So now Robyn has no money coming in… nothing, for months now. So I told her, go get a job, or I'm giving the room to someone who would actually pay. She didn't, so I'm giving her a few hours to get lost, as I have someone moving in this evening."
I felt so guilty, now I know why she was so disappointed that the date yesterday was for pleasure only and not to talk about the job she applied for.
"I will help her out," I said softly, "don't worry about it."
"Then you must be the most patient person," she remarked as I walked to the closed door.
I knocked twice and slowly opened the door, not sure what to expect. I was shocked to see Robyn sitting on her bed with the duvet around her, it looked like she was unable to process the idea of moving out of her home.
The duvet looked like it was eating the girl up, the only part of her on show was her head with her bright blonde hair.
It stunned me to see how bare her room actually was, for a girl with such an interesting personality, it was strange to see the mattress didn't even have a bed frame, it just laid on the floor. The only bit of furniture in the room was a bedside table, it had a drawer that was open, with all of her white panties on show. On the other side of the room was an open suitcase with some clothes still packed inside, these were clothes I presumed she didn't wear too often, the rest of her clothes were thrown about all over the floor.
I tried my best to step over the clothes, despite most of them probably being dirty anyway.
When I entered a certain proximity of the girl, she leapt out of the duvet and into my arms, I grabbed her right away and she wrapped her arms and legs around me… It was a surprise how light the small girl actually was. I used both my arms to support her, which meant one of my hands was directly on her butt, it was at this time when I realised she was only wearing a vest and panties.
"Are you okay? How are you feeling?" I asked, whispering into her ear.
She slightly shrugged and held me tighter, her face digging further into my shoulder.
"Okay," I kept whispering, "Let's get all of your stuff packed… okay?"
She didn't let me, just held me as tight as her little arms could.
"You do not have to worry about a thing… Just get changed and I'll pack everything up for you."
Despite kneeling down to put her back onto the bed, she still didn't let go.
"Okay… okay, still hugging… got it." I picked her back up.
I put her overstuffed suitcase into the back of my car, as I got into the driver's seat I noticed the little girl staring one last time at her old apartment; lost in thought. I attached her seatbelt and mine before asking her what the problem was.
"Where will I go now?" she asked, taking her gaze from the building to my direction, her eyes fixed on mine for a moment before looking away.
Those sad eyes. I turned the car on and took a moment to think. I knew what I wanted to say but wouldn't know how she would react.
"How about… staying with me?" I shyly asked, her eyes did pop out a bit.
"Where do you live?"
"On the other side of town. I have a bungalow… I know it's very soon, but I'm at work a lot, so it's kept unoccupied most of the time. You'll have your own room as well as full access to the entire house and the garden, you can stay for as long as you want."
Robyn's face was alight with excitement, if she wasn't fastened down with the seatbelt, I'm sure she would be bouncing around the car.
"Here we go. Welcome to your new home," I announced as I opened the front door, allowing the little lady to walk in front of me, I placed her suitcase down with an audible thud.
"Wooooooow" Robyn was in awe as she looked down the hallway at the two bedrooms, she ran into the living room and spun around.
"This one room is bigger than the entire size of my last apartment!" she yelled.
"I don't think it is that big," I said, placing her suitcase into the spare room.
"Your kitchen is massive!" I heard her shout from the other side of the house.
"You seem to have an obsession with size! Are you sure you aren't secretly a guy?"
"No, definitely a girl," Robyn smiled, appearing from the living room, "you can check if you want?"
"I don't think I'm that comfortable yet," I smiled, "Well… this is your room, do with it as you will."
Robyn looked into the room. She took a moment to think and looked a bit sad, as if her mind was currently elsewhere. I placed my arm on her shoulder.
"I…" She was trying to think of what to say but was struggling with her words. I could tell she had something big to say and was patient; I wanted her to be happy.
"What's the matter?" I whispered.
"I heard what my roommate had to say… she was completely right about me. I'm useless. I'm telling you this so you understand what you are getting yourself into, before you throw me out. I'm… not fit to be an adult, I love being treated like a… like a…"
"Someone younger?" I interrupted her.
"Yeah… I love having choices made for me. I love being cuddled and spending days in my underwear… I love being picked up… I think it's called being a 'little' or a 'brat'… but I don't enjoy being told off… I just wanted you to know, so you don't hate me in the future when you realise how useless I actually am."
"You are perfect," I knelt down a small amount to give her a large cuddle.
"Thank you… thank you so much."
I was surprised at how quiet Robyn was in her room. As I walked into the living room, the silence was almost deafening and almost completely unexpected. With a personality like Robyn's in the house, you expect a bit of noise.
The book from before greeted me once more as I fell onto the sofa and opened it to the first page. The words came to life and began entertaining my mind before I was interrupted only a few sentences in.
"Hey" a whispering voice brought me back into the real world, "What are you reading?"
It was Robyn, she walked awkwardly into the room.
"Moby Dick," I yawned, rubbing my eyes, trying to wake myself up momentarily, but it was the sight of Robyn that really woke me up. She was standing in the middle of the room only in her underwear. The small amount of time I had left her, she managed to get completely undressed, only wearing a pair of panties and a vest, both pieces of clothing were pure white, but not as pure as the woman who was wearing them.
Not wearing a bra meant the vest showed off all the details of her small, beautiful breasts that lay underneath. It showed off both nipples easily and more interestingly was the detail of the areola around the nipple, letting it stand out more. Her panties hid everything well down there but showed off another eye-popping detail of the small lady, something that I would definitely love to inspect more in the future.
Despite her knees touching, she still had a very noticeable thigh gap, meaning no matter how hard she crossed her legs, access was still possible to her most sensitive area. It was too tempting to continue looking at her tiny body, but my staring was thwarted as she came to cuddle next to me on the sofa.
"Would you like me to read it to you?" I asked her.
She nodded excitedly, burying her head further into my chest as far as she could.
"Okay… Call me Ishmael," I started, "Some years ago-never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world…"
Robyn was already asleep on me.
